My Grandma is a living legend. She was born in 1922 and next month she turns 92! My Grandpa and Grandma raised 3 boys and 1 girl, who was the youngest child and my mom. She had her when she was 41 years old. My Grandma was older than most but that didn’t change anything. Her house was right next to ours growing up. If I wasn’t at home I was at her house. I trusted her with everything and could talk to her about anything. She always put her children and grandchildren first. There isn’t a memory that doesn’t have Grandma in it. She was always a woman who loved her family no matter what, was sometimes brutally honest and feisty and always had a great sense of humor. A couple years ago her health started declining. And she moved in with my mom and dad. It’s truly a blessing to be able to take care of her at home. She now completely depends on us for her care and suffers from dementia but she can still be her ornery self. Each day gets harder for her as her body tires but we take each day as another blessing to spend with her!
